Will you pull for Ray Lewis?

Ray Lewis is headed back to the Super Bowl.

So are the Baltimore Ravens, but it seems like Lewis is receiving most of the attention. The leader of the Ravens has displayed an increased level of emotion during the postseason since he announced he plans to retire at the end of the season.

But Lewis has been a controversial figure since Jan. 2000. That's when he was accused of murdering two men in Atlanta before charges were later dismissed in exchange for testimony from Lewis against two friends. Those men, Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting, were later acquitted of the charges.

That was nearly 13 years ago. Of course, time will never fully heal the wounds experienced by those two men's families.

Lewis has won a Super Bowl (the following season) since then. But Lewis's off-field issues have returned to the discussion with the Ravens' success and the nearing end of his career.

Skeptics have also questioned how genuine Lewis's emotion actually is. That includes former University of Tennessee and New York Jets quarterback Pat Ryan.

"He's a phony," Ryan told WNML Radio on Monday. "Big time."

What do you think? Can you pull for the Ravens with Lewis on the field or are the memories of the 2000 incident too much?
